Texas Travels

Belle Plain College

Belle Plain was the county seat of Callahan county after Callahan City, and they established a college there.  There is nothing left of this town except some ruins of the old college campus.

Callahan City

Callahan City was the original county seat of Callahan County, but lost it to Belle Plain shortly after it was established.  Nothing remains of this ghost town except a couple markers and a cemetery.

Hart Camp

An almost nonexistent town in Lamb county about an hour northwest of Lubbock. There are a few residences, an old grocery store, a cotton gin and an abandoned school building. My great grandparents used to run this grocery store in the 50's.
